  On the southern part of the Makarska Riviera, at the foothill of mount Biokovo (there) lies Živogošće. It is comprised of three smaller, detached places on the coast: Porat - Mala Duba – Blato, and old hamlets along the old road. Živogošće has been inhabited since Illyrian and Roman times, to which Illyrian tombs on top of hill Suzina stand as witnesses.

Živogošće is located on Makarska riviera and belongs to Central Dalmatia. This is one of the most beautiful parts of Mediterranian Sea and Croatia. It makes Živogošće very attractive for numerous activities and excellent starting point for sightseeing of Split, island Hvar and Brač, Makarska and mountain Biokovo, Međugorje and Dubrovnik ...

 There is number of activities available in the area such are rafting on river Cetina, paragliding in Makarska, or renting different types of boats for activities on water in Živogošće.

Živogošće is located in Makarska Riviera wich is an area that covers the most beautiful beaches on the Central Adriatic. The biggest town in the area is Makarska (20 km), and the county capitol is Split (about 80 km). To arrive to Živogošće you need to follow coastal road D8.
