We can offer accommodation for two to six people per apartment. Each apartment has two bathrooms with the shower and the toilet). Apartments are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, refrigerators, strongbox, heads and hair dryers. Outdoor barbecue is located within the facility. Transport links between islands of Cres, so Martinščice, and the mainland are very good. If you are traveling by car, you can go to through the following two ports - Valbiska on island Krk and Brestova in Istra. Ferries operate every day with the good frequency. In the summer sailing frequency on ferry services is increased. During the large traffic gridlock, ferries sail all day, non-stop, withouth sailing schedule. Direct bus line is available every day from Rijeka and Zagreb. Daily fast boat line, so called catamaran line connects Martinščica with Rijeka also. If you are not traveling by car this type of transport is the most recommended option.
If you prefer the beach without the crowds, you are on the right place. Island of Cres has a lot of hidden gems where you will easily find your intimate corner, even in August. One of these beaches is beache in Martinscica. In the heart of the season there will be a few local boats, but not much traffic and without the crowd. The sea here is crystal blue and very clean, great for swimming. The beach has tiny pebbles and public showers.
The village of Martinšcica, a picturesque and rather new settlement, is situated at the most gentle part of the coast of Cres, beside a large bay opened to the southwest. Martinscica and Cres offering the good possibilities for active leisure, especially tracking. Here is the link for the main Cres footpaths and promenades. Its historical core consists of the church of St Martin with a Franciscan monastery dating from the 16th century and Castello of Sforza family dating from the 17 century. Presently, Martinšcica is an urbane settlement surrounded by rich Mediterranean vegetation whose economy is based on family and camping tourist trade.The uniquely beautiful beaches situated to the north of the settlement in unspoilt nature offer great opportunities for a high quality and active holiday. The villages of Miholašcica, Stivan and Vidovici, which gravitate to Martinšcica, are making their name increasingly recognizable in tourist trade.
Cres is after the island of Hvar, the longest and with the neighboring island of Krk largest (405,78 km2) croatian island, length 66 km, and broad 12 km (in the widest part of). Coast is very indented and long about 248 km, and has many coves and pebble beaches on its western and southern part, while the northern and eastern part are girded by the steep rocks. The northern part of the island is covered with the oak and chestnut, while the central and southern part is dominated with the macchia. This relatively small geographical area holds a genuine botanical garden - an abundance of species and lush vegetation. Island Cres is famous for herbs, especially sage. The island is covered with olive groves and figs.
Today the island of Cres is one of the few habitats of the griffons, especially its northern part. ECO CENTER "Caput insulae", an organization which undertakes programmes of the preservation of natural versatility, original values and the cultural and historical heritage of Cres, opearates in Beli. It is interesting that on the island of Cres, as well as in the rest of the archipelago, there are no poisonous snakes.
