The romantic little fishing port Sućuraj on the island of Hvar can be reached within half an hour's ferry ride from the mainland. It offers everything for a relaxing holiday: crystal clear water for swimming, quaint restaurants right on the harbor, shops, boat trips. Apartments Kod Jure are located directly on the sea, just 200 meters away from the center and also 200 meters away from the main beach Cesminica.  

All apartments have air conditioning, digital satellite television and high-speed Internet access via WLAN. From the terrace you have a wonderful view over the sea and the peninsula of Peljesac. The parking lot is located in front of the house. In the courtyard, a barbecue is set for our guests. Boat trips are available by appointment. The apartments are located on the 2nd floor, and are 30 m2 each. Bedroom with double bed, living room with dining area, kitchen and sofa bed for the 3rd and 4th person, bathroom with shower, terrace 15 sqm. Use of washing machine possible.

Sucuraj is a picturesque, little town on the east cape of the island Hvar, island with the most sunny days in all Adriatic coast. Here you can enjoy a beautiful climate, untouched nature and typical dalmatian architecture. It’s ideal place for family holiday where you can spent relaxing time without noise, crowded and stress.

Sucuraj is a small town on the east cape of the island of Hvar. The population of 400 people exists by tourism and fishing.

 Thanks to the very mild climate and beautiful countryside, many tourists come to Sucuraj. The town has a hotel, car-camp, private vacancy and about 10 touristy objects (restaurants, cafe-bars, a tavern, ice-cream shop, pizzeria, etc.).

 Sucuraj has a quiet big fishing-fleet the catching of fishermen from Sucuraj is sold all over Croatia and exported to the European Community. Sucuraj is famous in production of quality wines and olive oil.

 The town has an elementary school, post-office, ATM (money-machine), infirmary (H) with a heliport for emergency patients, harbor-masters office and several supermarkets. Sucuraj is the official centre of the east part of the island. There is a football club Mladost in the town. In Sucuraj there are a few amateur painters. Sućuraj is a small town on the east coast of the island of Hvar. It has about 400 permanent residents, who live mainly from tourism and fishing. Because of the exceptionally mild climate and beautiful nature Sućuraj is a resort. The city has a hotel, camping sites, private houses, and about 10 other catering establishments (restaurants, cafes and restaurants, pizzeria, pastry shop ...).  Sućuraj is a small city that offers tourists a complete pleasure. Near the city center are two beaches. On the south side is a sandy beach Cesminica. In the near Sucuraj are many beautiful and picturesque bays. Is the most beautiful bay on the south side Perna, in the north is very nice, Mlaska stated. These shafts can be reached by boat. In Mlaska the camp nudist section, which takes a 4 km long road. The town has a tourist office, hotels, private homes and offer a range of rooms, apartments and pensions. More than 10 restaurants offer tourists and passers-by to eat at any time, drinking and entertainment. Shops offer a wide range of goods, in Sućuraj you find everything for a pleasant and comfortable holiday. Thanks to many beaches every guest can find something for themselves. You can choose to spend the day at the beach in downtown or you can find a spot for himself. Sućuraj has more than 20 km of coastline north and south of the island, mainly full of unspoiled nature.

Island Hvar is the longest (68 km) and sunniest Croatian island and one of the most beautiful islands in the world. The first inhabitants of Hvar island were Neolithic people who established trade links between Hvar and the eastern shores of the Mediterranean. The Hvar Culture lasted from 3500 to 2500 BC. In AD 925 the island of Hvar was incorporated into the Medieval Croatian state under the crown of King Tomislav. Hvar is important to the history of Croatia as it was one of the centers of Croatian literature during the Renaissance.

 The biggest places on the island of Hvar are: the town of Hvar, Stari Grad, Jelsa, Sucuraj and Vrboska. The island Hvar is famous for its pleasant climate, virgin nature and historical sights. Hvar is also one of the most famous winemaking zones in Croatia.

RIEF HISTORY: The island has been inhabited since prehistoric times, 6000 years ago. From this period on the island there is a peculiar Hvar culture (3500th-2500th b.c.), known by colored ceramics. Notable are the findings from Mark and Grapceva cave (possible sightseeing), in which is  found oldest depiction of a ship in Europe on a fragment of ceramic vases, and the site of the megaliths Purkin hip.

The present name of the island's Greek origin (from the Greek. Pharos - lighthouse). That is the name the Romans shaped Pharia name. Dalmatian novels have turned it into a Fara, in the early Middle Ages the Croats replaced the consonant f  by a group of consonants HV, and changed its name to Hvar. Local residents call it "Hvor", "For".

 LOCATION: Hvar belongs to the middle-Dalmatian islands. It is located in Split-Dalmatia County, in the middle of a group of islands that are part of the county. Reviewed by the immediate neighborhood, north of it is the island of Brač, and south of it is Šćedro (separated from it by Šćedorski channel), Vis (more towards the southwest), Paklinski islands, Korčula and Pelješac peninsula.

 SIZE: length is 72 km, and in the wider area is 10.5 km wide. The total length of the coast  is 254.2 km. Its area is 299.7 square kilometers, making it the fourth Croatian island by the surface. The highest point is St. Nikola 628 meters high. The road that connects the town of Hvar on the west and Sućuraj on the east side of the island is 84 km.

 CLIMATE AND VEGETATION: Hvar, with its surface is largely covered with pine trees which makes it an extremely pleasant climate and vineyards that produce top quality wines from this region. The island of Hvar is known for its pleasant Mediterranean climate with mild winters, warm summers and a large number of sunny hours (2,718 per year).

 PLACES: The largest settlement on the island is Hvar, Stari Grad, Jelsa and Sučuraj who unite the island's four municipalities, which cover an area of the island.
