Apartments Markez Bohinj

Apartments Markež are located in the Polje v Bohinju village at the border of the Triglav National Park (TNP). Staying with us you will enjoy comfortable apartments or a holiday cottage and our plesant garden in a small village which is a great starting point for a trip to the lake Bohinj (2 kilometres), fishing in the river Sava (50 meters) or a trip to the mountains, bicycling and many other activities. We kindly receive families and private parties of all generations.

Come to Bohinj for the weekend, vacation or just for fun and let us take care of everything. In the heart of the Bohinj mountains, in down part of the Bohinj valley, 100 meters off the river Sava Bohinjka, we lease out the vacation house, suitable for holiday of two families (8 to 10 persons). The house is surrounded by a large garden with children´s playground.

You can also choose between 4 modern apartments which are all within the three star category (***). All apartments have a kitchen with a dining area, a spacious living room with a sofa (additinal beds), rooms with double beds, bathrooms with shower and WC, balcony or terrace. Free Wireless Internet conection is available in all apartments. Parking space is available in front of the house. Much to the joy of children, our garden is fully equipped with a smaller swimming pool, trampoline, badminton and volleyball court, swings and much more.

Apartment 1 (4+2 Prs.) / 56m2: apartment is located in the ground floor. It has 2 bedrooms; one with a double bed and one with two separate beds. It also has a bathroom, a terrace and a large kitchen with living room area with the option of sleeping two more persons.

Apartment 2 (6+2 Prs.) / 91m2: apartment is located in the 1st and 2nd floor. It has three bedrooms, all with double beds, a large kitchen and living room area (possibility of two extra beds), a bathroom and a balcony.

Apartment 3 (2-4 Prs.) / 52m2: is located in the 1st and 2na floor. It has a large bedroom with a double bed and two separate beds (there is also a possibility of a crib), a living area, a kitchen, a bathroom and a balcony. It is suitable for families with small children.

Apartment 4 (4+2 Prs.) / 75m2: is located in a family house on the skirt of Bohinjska Bistrica and is in the immediate vicinity of the ski slope Kobla. It has two bedrooms, both with double beds, a large kitchen and living room area, a bathroom and a balcony. Pets are unfortunately not allowed in this apartment.

Bohinj is a town near Bohinj Lake, which is the largest natural lake in Slovenia, best known for its motive of a bridge and a church of St. John. Upper and lower Bohinj valleys form Bohinj county. The town Bohinj is located in Triglav National Park, the only national park in Slovenia. Because of many different activities Bohinj has to offer, it is interesting to all visitors in all seasons of the year - daily visitors and those wanting to spend more time in this beautiful surroundings.

Its intact environment, crystal clean Sava Bohinjka river and the lake are interesting mainly for the swimmers, fishermen, rowers and kayakers, for all who want to experience genuine connection with nature and adrenaline rush.

Well organized running tracks and ski slopes are truly a paradise for winter sports lovers. Bohinj is a mysterious place, where culture and customs of local people are a result of an old pagan belifs, tales and unusual experiences. All this interweaves in nature and you can make sure of it on shorter or longer walks or when mountaineering in Julian Alps. You can experience presence and connection to the tradition on tradition annual events like Peasant wedding, Cow ball, Midsummer´s night on lake, Canal Festival, Musical Summer in Bohinj, where the well known Slovenian and foreign musicians and Traditional International Festival of Alpine flowers present themselves.

Bohinj-Vogel ski holidays offer visitors the chance to enjoy the Vogel ski resort which can be found in the centre of the stunning Triglav National Park, nestled high above Lake Bohinj. From the foot of the mountain you are uplifted to an altitude of 1535 metres with incredible views of the Triglav mountain which extends right through to the Kamnik Alps. This is a quiet destination most suited to beginners and intermediate skiers with its 14 runs serviced by 8 lifts. The folks are very welcoming here and the slopes are kept in pristine condition. The season usually lasts from December through to early May with good snow cover. Advanced skiers may find the slopes a little limited but the vistas and the quiet serenity of Vogel more than compensate for this. Vogel has its own ski school together with ski service and rental. In addition there is a snow kindergarten for the children. They also offer ski tours with a guide on fresh virgin snow and for those seeking an adrenalin rush there are two person paraglider flights to the valley below. The Vogel cable car operates throughout the year. Night skiing and cross country can also be enjoyed here. Snowboarders are not forgotten either, and there is a snowpark for their use.
