 Petrovac by the sea – this place has been named by King Peter I Karadjordjevic after the First World War. What distinguishes today's Petrovac is a large number of modern hotels, villas and apartments, among which there are HOLIDAY APARTMENTS.

City beach is 600 meters long and it is one of the most beautiful beaches in this part of the Adriatic. There are two Islands in the vicinity of Petrovac: Katic and St. Sunday with church on it. Petrovac offers different forms of recreation, so everyone who decides to spend time in Petrovac has access to various sporting activities. There are also daily organized boat trips for the tourists who want to visit remote beaches.

 In medieval times, the town was called Lastva, until it began to expand after the Venetians built on the seafront a small fort. Gradually, around the fort appeared deposits of wine, olive oil and fish. All this was brought from overseas markets. At the beginning of the nineteenth century the first houses appeared, the city was named Kastel Lastva. In 1918, the name was changed in Petrovac, in memory of King Petar Karadjordjevic, Serbia, when the city became part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. You will particularly like a small fort which is now a historical monument with a beautiful terrace. Next to this, the water is much warmer than in Budva and Kotor.

Restaurants in Petrovac has excellent food and very cheap, you will receive sun beds with mattress and an umbrella near the water.

 One of the most visited beaches of the Riviera of Budva is 600 m long, the beach of reddish sand, Petrovac beach belongs to a protected nature reserve.

 Lučice,  wonderful beach and the locality that is still almost untouched despite the great number of visitors. It is situated 500m south of Petrovac. It has the shape of a small bay. It is 220m long. Both the beach and the seabed are, while in the background there are pine and cypress groves. It is an ideal beach for children because the sea is not too deep, it is sandy and there are a lot of pines.

Drobni pijesak beach is located in the coves, between Sveti Stefan and Reževići. The length of the beach is 240 meters, with the yellowish white color of the sand, and there is the water spring on the beach.

 Buljarica beach is in the cove of Buljarica, which extends from the Resovo brdo cape to Dubovica, representing the longest beach of the Budva Riviera. It is situated 1 km south of Petrovac, towards Bar. It is pebble and about 2250 meters long. Several campsites and rest homes are situated in its background.

 Petrovac is an old village, raised on the crossing of the roads that goes to Budva, Bar, the lake of Skadarsko and Podgorica. Petrovac is distant from Budva 18 kilometres.

 Nowadays Petrovac is a tourist calm location, attractive with its sand beaches. The beach of Petrovac is part of a protected area. The sandy beach is 600 meters long and is one of the most visited on the coast of Budva. A particular fascination is given to it from island Katic and Sveta Nedjelja, which are an attraction for the lovers of sub. Along the beach there are many bars and restaurants.

Petrovac was raised during the Romans and it is supposed that it was one of the spots where the sailors of the ancient Rome in their travels through the Adriatic sea was stopping. In the location of Miriste two roman mosaics of those periods are remained. In front of Petrovac is situated an island called Katic with the church Sv. Nedjelja, that was constructed by a sailor, who based on the legend, after a storm saved himself on this island. Petrovac was mentioned for before the time in the annals of Abbot Dukljan and the first name of this location was Lastva.
